The deceased was Al Amin, 21, hailed from Pirgachha upazila in Rangpur. He used to live in Narayanganj's Siddhirganj upazila.
Mofizul Alam, officer-in-charge of Jatrabari Police Station, said the accident took place in Chourasta area of Jatrabari around 1:30am when the lorry hit the battery-run rickshaw, leaving Al Amin died on the spot.
The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Morgue for autopsy.
