Treasurer of PCIU Prof Dr Ganesh Chandra Roy inaugurated the training session while, Dean of Science and Engineering Faculty Prof Dr Mafzal Ahmed and Registrar of the university Obaydur Rahman were present as the special guests.
Jewel Das, Assistant Professor and Chairman of the Journalism and Media Studies department was the trainer in the day-long session.
Emphasizing the importance of checking facts in digital media, he equipped the participants with various tools used in fact-checking.
Faculty members and 16 students from various batches of the department participated in the training program.
